No Time Series
I Have Plenty of Time, 2012
SD video, 5 minute loop.
The “No Time” series is part of a larger body of work that considers ideas about our perception, recording and scientific understanding of time.
The series includes lithographs, digital images, video and interactive works that reference dendrochronology (the study of tree ring dating) and natural divisions of time like the seasons; living systems that trace and encode time; and our own constructions of time, seconds, weeks, months, and years. My ongoing research for the work is an inquiry into the physics of time.
This video is part of my continuing exploration into human perception of time. Shown at CCA in Santa Fe during Currents 2012.
