Shadowy Minnow (Past & Present), 2019
Etched Cast Acrylic Diptych, 16in. x 21in. each
In collaboration with Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge manager Jennifer Owen-White, this series of animated videos tell the story of the Rio Grande Silvery Minnow in a poetic and somewhat informative way. Working with local experts on the ecology of the Silvery Minnow to gather up-to-date information the videos allude to the life cycle of the minnow. The artwork attempts to convey the arduous plight of survival that the minnow has faced over the last few decades.
